Abstract
Grid-Enhancing Technologies (GETs) can increase the power transfer capacity and utilization of existing and future transmission lines. These hardware and/or software solutions can enhance grid capacity, efficiency, reliability, and safety. GETs can be deployed relatively quickly, allowing them to act as a bridge while new transmission is built. If implemented effectively, their impact on grid capacity can be substantial.
